New Bus Route Makes Kessingland Life Easier

After years of campaigning by locals, a the number 61 bus now connects Kessingland with Yarmouth’s Gapton Hall Retail Park.


The addition of two additional stops to the Number 61 Kessingland Great Yarmouth Bus allows Kessingland’s bus users to easily visit both the Gapton Tesco Superstore and the Gapton Retail Park. The retail park stop in particular allows Kessingland residents to access ahuge range fo shops, including Next, TK Maxx, B&Q, Carphone Warehouse, Marks & Spencers, Pets at Home, Carpet Right, Outfit, Boots, Argos, Sprts Direct and more.

The hourly Kessingland Great Yarmouth number 61 bus service will run Monday to Saturday, with the first and last services heading out of Market Gates at 7.44am and 6.14pm respectively. For the foreseeable future there will be no services running on Sundays, however, campaigners will continue to advocate for a weekround service.
